African cuckoo hawk are found at forest edge and the forest/ grassland ecotone in the Isimangaliso Wetlands Park.
They are often seen flying low over the grasslands in an almost harrier-like fashion or staking out areas of forest for their favorite food- chameleons.
Pairs are monogomous and are often seen perching together.
