These beautiful intra-African migrants are uncommon summer visitors to the St Lucia area and can usually be found at forest edge or tall woodland. They are fond of perching on tall dead trees which jut out prominently above the forest.


They occur in pairs or noisy groups and hawk insects regularly before returning to the same perch.
